"Following Korczak"

Interdepartmental Faculty - Department of Pedagogy at University of Warsaw and the Academy of Special Education


Objectives

Education realm found in Janusz Korczak's pedagogy far exceeds the traditional education notion. It encompasses philosophy, culture, social life, religion etc.
Following Korczak seminar is a form of attaining Korczak's heritage and an attempt to apply the Old Doctor's ideas to the problems of today's world.
The syllabus includes studying Korczak's literary outcome and tracing multicultural Warsaw of the interwar period, as well as time of Holocaust.
